It is so true and we all need to make sure that we are the Lord's AND walking in His way!
The Bible tells us to "...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling..." Philippians 2:12 and "...He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6
These verses are such a comfort to my heart...it is ALL of the Lord and His righteousness. "But now, O Lord, Thou art our father; we are the clay, and Thou our potter; and we all are the work of Thy hand." Isaiah 64:8
What a blessing that we can lean on the Lord for His help through all of life...He is faithful and will never leave us to ourselves if we are His!
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about eith so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds." Hebrews 12:1-3
